RICKY MARTIN "I'M PROUD"

"A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life. From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this is something worth celebrating.

For many years, there has been only one place where I am in touch with my emotions fearlessly and that's the stage. Being on stage fills my soul in many ways, almost completely. It's my vice. The music, the lights and the roar of the audience are elements that make me feel capable of anything. This rush of adrenaline is incredibly addictive. I don't ever want to stop feeling these emotions. But it is serenity that brings me to where I'm at right now. An amazing emotional place of comprehension, reflection and enlightenment. At this moment I'm feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share.

Many people told me: "Ricky it's not important", "it's not worth it", "all the years you've worked and everything you've built will collapse", "many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature". Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth. Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.

If someone asked me today, "Ricky, what are you afraid of?" I would answer "the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war…child slavery, terrorism…the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith." But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, It fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.

These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed.

What will happen from now on? It doesn't matter. I can only focus on what's happening to me in this moment. The word "happiness" takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every word that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachment and real contentment. Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital part of my evolution.

I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.

Tynisha Keli

Damn I don't even know where to begin when writting about this girl. Huuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm, let's see. Tynisha Keli is one of my really good friends, I love this girl with all my heart. I met her through a good friend of mine Mikey Minden (I will blog about him also, but ya'll ain't ready). It was about 8 years ago when I styled her and her dancers for a showcase in Atlanta. First thing I thought when i met her was "Tiny hood girl with a big story and a big voice". When you look at her you might think she's just a little cute sweet white girl, but only a dumb ass wouldn't take the time to see what she's really about. Her life story is heartbreaking and you can hear it in your voice. When you hear her sing or watch her perform it's obvious that music is a passion that runs through her veins. It's a god given talent. This portuguese young lady was born in New Bedford Massachusetts where her life wasn't picture perfect. Tynisha struggled financially for most of her life. Her only escape were her headphones and a Brandy CD.

Miss Keli released her 1st single on Warner Bros. Records "I Wish You Loved Me" on her freshman Album "The Chronicles of TK" on April 28, 2009. It was released on iTunes in the US and in Japan a few days after. Japan welcomed her with open arms and the tour was a success. I actually had the pleasure of styling her and her dancers for this promo tour. While in Japan TK teamed up with some of Japan's most well known artists:
.

TK was created by the musical talents of Kara DioGuardi, Jonathan "JR" Rotem, Rico Love, Tha CornaBoyz, Soulshock & Karlin, Ne-Yo, Mario, and Grammy award winners The Jam (Michael Mani & Jordan Omley).

She had a minor role in the 2009 musical remake film "Fame" where she was featured singing in the cafeteria to "This is My Life."
In late 2009 Tynisha announced via Twitter she would be leaving her record label Warner Bros. although no reason was provided. In January 2010 Tynisha announced, via Ustream, that she was working on her sophomore album "5th Element" and all vocal orders would be managed By Pierre Midore of Tha Corna Boyz. She also stated this album would be released in Europe only and she was working on her USA debut (both released through a unknown Company). It was confirmed that "The 5th Element" would be released July 2010. Some of her influences include Faith Evans, Brandy Norwood, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, and New Edition.

My fondest memory is standing in line at 711 while Tynisha belted out "Emotional Rollercoaster" by Vivian Green at the top of her lungs. It was as though she was invisible. This is something that she would do often...wink wink....and I enjoyed it.
I can't wait to see what you have in store next! Don't forget to check out the "Mic Sessions" video below.
Love you TK.

TAYLOR MOMSEN

I LOVE A GIRL WITH GOOD FASHION

A GOOD BOOK????

Ummmmmmmm Hmmmmmmm. So, I'm not much of a reader. After I graduated high school the only thing I focused my attention on was dance and fashion. ACTUALLY, those are the two things I have focused on my whole life. Even though these things make me happy and have taken me to where I am today, I need to broaden my horizons. So I started by picking up a book. Ironiclly the book that caught my attention is about SEX. 'The Sexual Life Of Catherine M' is a best seller around the world and has been named one of the most important books on sexuality to date. This book makes Sex and The City look like a Disney story so keep this book outta' the hands of your little ones. If you've seen the popular series featured on showtime called The Diary Of a Call Girl then you will be completely into this book. In fact, you'll like the book much more. I couldn't put it down and rarely blinked (I had to take eye drops) lol. While reading the book I felt like my mom was gonna walk in and ask me what I was reading. I thought to myself "should I be reading this?" Then I realized HELL YESSSSS I'm gonna read it. Catherine Millit was a strong believer in sexual exploration. Her biography shows that she lived in a time and place where sexual liberation was her reality. This book is a full documentary on which her sexuality is based. This book is more than dirty! With in depth descriptions on group coupling, orgies, high class sex parties, etc. this book keeps you entertained. And the fact that she is a beautiful french women whose story takes place throughout Europe makes it even sexier. If you've been there then you know what I mean. The interesting thing is.....while reading this book you don't think of Catherine as a whore. It's written so gracefully that you have no chocie but to understand her exploration with sex. I recommend you read this and explore! Enjoy!!!

DESCRETE ROYALTY

Tevin Vincent

Confident, calm, cool, and collected. There's nothing descrete about this stand up guys since of fashion. This young designer started off turning simple t-shirts into a local Los Angelos trend. You may have caught a glimpse of Vincent's stylish T's on the hit televison show America's Next Best Dance Crew. Everytime I saw the popular FannyPack crew performing, they were sporting Descret Royalty. Let's just say wearing Vincent's clothes were a good luck charm for the crew. I attended one of his fashion shows at Area, a hollywood hotspot were celebrities are often spotted, I must say I enjoyed every minute of it. It was fun, young, and hung ha ha!!!! Just kidding. Vincent is on the move! He's not stopping at designing T-shirts, as fashion moves forward so will Vincent and his blossoming career. Get Into It!!!!!!

"SHE STRUCK GOLD"

Let's talk about Tina Gold. Tina is a sexy lady that will always greet you with a friendly warm smile. When I first met Tina she was working in a dental office. A good job... but good jobs are not nessassarily satisfying. She seemed happy but somtheing was missing. I felt like her heart was searching for more. Years passed since I saw Tina, when recently I ran into her at a local barber shop. Something was different. Her smile was brighter and her eyes shined like the sun. Her energy was fun and she seemed excited about life. Tina had ditched the office job and put her energy full force into being an artist. She found her niche. This is a creative beautiful soul and all eyes should be on her! What will she create next? I'm not the first or last to take notice of Miss Gold. Singer songwriter Keri Hilton has been spotted wearing Gold's coustom jewlery and rapper television host, Little Ma Ma, has her nails done quite frequently by Miss Gold. Let's not forget top model Eva Pigford who sports Tina's nails and jewlery. This is only the beginning Tina! I wish you the best and I'm glad you found your true happiness! :)

Jewels and Accessories custom made and handpainted! One of a kind jewels sure to dazzle.
"This collection is very special to me. Each piece, Each charm, Stroke of Gold is, Tina Gold. I truly love my life and you will see that in these pieces, No two are alike.......FLY."-Tina Gold

BEST KEPT SECRET

IROHA SUSHI ****

There's nothing better than fresh sushi and I have found just the spot. I hate to give away something that's so special to me, but I think it's time I unleash the dragon. Located at 12953 Ventura Blvd. Studio City, CA 91604, you'll find a true treasure. Iroha Sushi is neatly tucked away behind an authentic Japanese style ceramics and weaving store. The food is extremely delicious. Trust me I know good sushi. I have been to Japan more than 10 times and have dined at some of Tokyo's finest restaurants. My personal favorites from Iroha are: spicy miso soup, halibut carpaccio, oishi mignon, and the pink panther roll (the house special). This little home-like sushi restaurant is small from the outside but inside there is a big surprise... it's packed with celebrities and customers. They have fantastic service and a speedy staff to accommodate all your needs and desires. Packed or not? Iroha is still intimate and great for any occasion: dates, birthdays, or simply a dinner with family and friends. (Dress code is casual chic). Check it out! You will not be disappointed. Garza says????? Two thumbs up!!!! Me likey ;)

KICK ASS CHICK

Varunie Vongsvirates
When we first met .........we were in 7th grade at Greenfield Jr. High School. So... I got mad history with this chick. We were both born and raised in the little town of Bakersfield California. Varunie's demeanor was shy and quiet and her appearance was plane plane jane. Don't get me wrong she always had a great face. She always wore her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail with jeans and a t-shirt with not a stitch of makeup. Oh, and did i forget to say she was a teachers pet and a straight A student! Well, little miss perfect had a sexy secret. In the summers she would sneak away to Thailand where she was a completely different girl. No, not a prostitute!!!!! Gross, but in Thailand she would work as a model: fashion magazines, music videos, television shows and much more. When she lets her hair down everyone turns their heads. This young exotic beauty has a face like no other. She's a beautiful mix of her father from thailand and her mother from Spain. Like i always say, don't let a pretty face fool you. This chick kicks ass! A full on martial artist, Hi-Yah!!!!!!! Weapons, sparring, and advanced kata...this chick knows her Habkido.
One day after school she asked me to come to her brothers Dojo for an exercise. I had no idea what I was in for. Lets just say she made me look like a punk and so I didn't attend school the next day. I didn't realize that underneath that "ordinary girl" ???(I think not) there was the face of an angel and abs of steel.
Never judge a book by its cover. "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." - Ali
A small town girl with a hot hot look, and not just a girl with her head in the books! love you Va Va

BEST I EVER HAD

Shakur

You might recognize this egyptian princess, seen in Drake's video "Best I Ever Had?" or in the recent relaunch of King magazine, as one of the hottest women of King. But don't be fooled by her volumptuous body and flawless face, this babe has a lot more to offer than some think. Shakur is a very educated young lady. She uses big ass words during our conversations and I'm like "what"? lol. Shakur speaks 4 different languages and has always been a straight A student. I first met Shakur when she moved into the condo directly across from mine. When i saw her i thought to myself, "this is gonna be fun," a hot young chick in my building!!! We quickly became friends cooking dinner together, clubbing, and we would spend days at the pool laying in the sun drinking lemonade. Our bedroom windows faced eachother and one night I got a BBM from Miss Shakur.. I opened my window and she gave me a show. Don't get it twisted! I'm a performer also, so she got a show right back ha ha. But the real show is when Shakur filled me in on one of her hidden talents... she's a writter and a rapper. I was blown away by her lyrics and passion for rap. Could she be the next big thing?
With a hot new single "Nada hoe" produced by The Black Eyed Pea's front man Will I Am and dozen of maganize spreads, I think there's a great future ahead for this inspiring young artist.

Love you Shuk

"I am a lady first and for most, but test my gangsta, I will pop off at you without thinking twice. My trigger finger is ready."

THE DJ

THE DJ
Dj Derek Monteiro is a personal friend of mine, so shut the FUCK up!!!! Let me bragg about my homie. The very handsome 28 year old Portugese hottie is a star DJ in the making. The East Coast native born and raised in Boston left his home to live in sunny California. After a long drive across country, with all his shit packed into his car, Derek arrived in LA Jan 14, 2002. He was more than ready to tackle the West Coast. Trust me this dude has mad energry, he will excite you with just a single conversation. He continues to charm West Hollywood with his good looks and beats of fire!!!!!! Frontiers Magazine recently published a mini-article about Derek... But Mini wasn't big enough for Derek. Now the magizine has contacted him asking him if he is interested in the cover. Cross your fingers kids! Whoop Whoop thats my friend, Covergirl!!! Derek's influences include: Felix The Housecat, Armand Van Helden, Paul Johnson and many many more. Derek loves house music that's "hard and deep"... hmmmm??? Interesting. He also describes himself as "crazy, lovable and always good for a laugh." I agree one hundred percent!

JONTE

LADIES AND GENTENAL MEN "JONTE"

Innovative, Androgynous, iconic, inventive, exhibitionist, strong words for a strong character. Some say this black beauty is the next Grace Jones? Well at least I say so! He is a man of many talents: dancer, choreographer, singer, songer writer, and a whole lot more. Jonte catches peoples attention with his creative sense of style. He is not bothered by what anyone thinks about him and he always does his own thing. He performs alongside some of the worlds most famous New York City club kids: Amanda Lepore, Cazwell, Kenny Kenny, Richy Rich and more. He is making waves in Tokyo and his large fan base, performances, and televison appearances have even lead him to become the face of a Japanese fashion line. The launch party even featured a large window display of ten mannequins created to replicate Jonte himself. Shortly after, he also shot a five page spread in Harpar's Bazaar Tokyo issue. He has danced and choreographed along side Beyonce Knowles, who has even stated "If I Were A Boy I would be Jonte"! Beyonce is very supportive of him, she even wears Jonte t-shirts. Trust me kids we have not seen the last of him. He is the future and a true work of art. The video below is a behind the scenes look at his lastest video "Ya!Who?" (It was shot at the house of Patricia Fields.) If you dont know about Pat Fields then you're a dumb bitch. She is ledendary and Jonte is up and coming. Jonte is a good friend of mine so check us out in this video clip.
Love you ja ja!

BAD BOOTS

This is funny!!!!! So ladies...we seem to have a problem finding the right shoes these days. As I have traveled across the country something has recently caught my attention. Bad Boots, and by bad boots I mean UGLY BOOTS!!!!! It's gross. They're everywhere, taking over the world at shopping malls, airports, resturants, and grocery stores. You name the place and i'll bet you they are there. I have started snapping pictures of these alledged boots with my blackberry. I can't help it, it's become a skilly addicition. A poor unfortunate soul wearing BAD BOOTS gallops by and out comes my photography skills.... Pick up a fashion magazine ladies. The lastest issue of Vouge is on stands every month. DUH!!!!!! If you're too cheap to buy a copy, just stand there and view it. Use your heads!
